YIP2009:Day 116 {Grrrrrr! Traffic} (via |♥|♥| miss jo ladie |♥|♥|)
Yesterday I decided to join a friend downtown for some Bikram Yoga aka Hot Yoga. The spot was on 27th Street and I work in Mt. Vernon, NY. I left work early to avoid traffic and try and get parking. Ummmm…yeah I sat in this traffic for about 30 minutes. Which to most isn’t that bad until you realize that had I exited right (which I was totally going to do but changed my mind because the middle lane got me right to the expressway I needed to be on) I would’ve avoided it all. But the worst part…all that traffic was due to an accident ON THE OTHER SIDE!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Anyway, Bikram Yoga was great. OMG! Is it hot in there. I mean I sat in that room for 15 minutes BEFORE class started and was drenched. Once it started I only made it 15 min in and then it was a wrap! I remained in Savanasana (sp?) pose for the rest of the class, 1.5hrs.
I must say I am proud of me. Who stays in a hot ass room for 1.5hrs? That was the biggest challenge and I made it. I’ll be back. Actually, the instructor asked that I come back for free the rest of this week!
